In the Playground

While Hannah digs sand and puts it in her bucket,
I sit here a parent on a bench,
Reading my Times and hearing Bach.
The wind animates the trees, but far above.
Down here it's just a warm sandbox, Hannah making 
     larger and larger holes.
My bench is of gray, straight-grained slats,
     comfortable to my back, as Bach animates the
     trees, far above.
